Get ready to have some more fun with the Sanderson sisters, it seems like a Hocus Pocus sequel is officially happening!

After years of speculation, Disney is finally letting a sequel happen and a script is currently being penned for it. Workaholics and Scroll Wheel of Time writer Jen D'Angelo will be writing the script for the sequel while the director has yet to be announced. High School Musical and Descendants director, Kenny Ortega, was the director for the original, so it wouldn't be too surprising if he decides to come back.

Unlike the first film which was released in theaters and later became a cult classic, the Hocus Pocus sequel will come out on Disney+. No release date has been set, but Disney+ already has a packed schedule for the next couple of years, so any date is possible.

The news was first reported by Collider and then confirmed by Variety. Currently, none of the original stars are attached to return, although, they do hope to bring be the three original Sanderson sisters, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, back for some more crazy fun.

This isn't the first time Hocus Pocus fans got to see what happened next to the Sanderson sisters in Salem, Massachusetts. A sequel YA book was released last year that followed Max and Allison's daughter 25 years later as she faces the Sanderson sisters.
